Weekly Silver Review: COMEX Futures See Massive Gains, Break Above $30 Mark In Style

COMEX Silver futures saw spectacular gains in the last week with a 6% spike on 17th May pushing the metal near highest in last decade. The metal jumped in tune with Copper prices and broke above $30 per ounce mark in style. The metal closed around $31.80 per ounce, adding around 11.50% for the week. Silver has soared amid a massive surge in Copper prices which hit record highs above $5 per pound. Meanwhile, Indian Silver imports rose on annual basis. Silver imports came in at Rs 1119 crore in April 2024, up around 21% compared to April 2023.However, Silver imports plummeted by 83.50% on month. MCX Silver futures jumped above Rs 90000 per kg mark and ended around Rs 91000 levels amid excellent buying support.
