Economic Buzz: US Nonfarm Payrolls See Sharp Spike

Employment in the US surged in the month of May, according to the Labor Department data on Friday. US non-farm payroll employment surged by 272,000 jobs in May after climbing by a downwardly revised 165,000 jobs in April. The report said the unemployment rate edged up to 4% in May from 3.9% in April.
