Copper Soars Above $4.50 Mark Amid Impressive Bounceback

Copper futures saw an impressive bounceback after recent slide as bargain buying is capping losses. The COMEX Copper futures gained around 1% yesterday after testing near two month low as US equities stayed supported. The counter rose further today and currently quotes up 1.55% at $4.56 per pound. Meanwhile, in Asia today, China?s Shanghai Composite index fell 0.40% while Japan?s Nikkei 225 index added 0.23%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index spiked around 3% after latest spell of losses. European stocks dipped today. German DAX index slipped 0.21% and French CAC lost 0.67% on the day. On Tuesday, despite choppy trading, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq once again reached new record closing highs.
