Copper off one week high

COMEX Copper futures gave up today after a near 2% rally in last session. Market remained focused on the US inflation figures which are due to come out soon. The metal currently quotes at $4.04 per pound, down 0.66% on the day as one week highs around $4.09 per pound in last session failed to sustain. Meanwhile, in Asian equities today, China's Shanghai Composite index added 0.34% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 0.36%. Japanese Nikkei 225 soared 3.50% amid massive gains in tech and financials. European stocks turned mostly lower. The major averages in the overnight markets were choppy all through the day and finished the session narrowly mixed.
