Copper is pausing after nearing a two-week high despite a decline in dollar and positive cues from equities. The red metal is seen quoting at $4.18 per pound, up marginally on the day, up marginally on the day. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index lost 0.93% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 0.33%. Japanese Nikkei 225 index spiked 1.80%, reversing a loss of similar magnitude yesterday. European stocks saw flat moves though UK's FTSE index pared 0.70%. US equities surged going into the final hour of trading, with the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 closing just shy of their highs of the session.
