Copper gains after 2% slump in last session

COMEX Copper futures edged up today after a sharp selloff in last session. The metal currently trades at $4.57 per pound, up 0.57% on the day as China stimulus driven rally stayed in place. Equities were largely supportive for the metal too. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index jumped 2.82% while Japan's Nikkei 225 edged up 0.22%. European markets also moved up ahead of weekend with French CAC index adding around 0.51%. Copper tanked around 2% in last session as US stocks ended slightly lower. Traders remained cautious amid the ongoing Middle East conflict and the anticipation of the jobs report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.44%.
