Commodities Buzz: India's Gold imports value up 17% this fiscal, Silver imports spike 47%

India's Gold imports stood at Rs 59884 crore in value terms in October 2024, down marginally by 0.49% compared to October 2023. Silver imports tanked by 74% on year to Rs 2787 crore in October 2024. Gold imports jumped on a monthly basis, zooming by 62% compared to September 2024. Silver imports also edged up by 2% on monthly basis. Gold imports value in first seven months of current fiscal rose by 17.59% on year while Silver imports during the same period gained by around 47.40%.
