Copper edged up to one week high of $4.16 per pound but yet again failed to sustain the gains amid mostly weak global equities. The metal has dipped around 0.37% on the day to trade at $4.12 per pound right now. Market remains generally worried about global geopolitical scenario after media reports noted that Russia is likely to target Kyiv 'decision-making centres' with new missile after US and UK-made weapons used in Russia recently. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index fell 0.43%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 1.20% while Japanese Nikkei index added 0.56%. European markets gained with major indices rising around half a percent. The US stocks slipped in last session as recent gains gave way to some moderation ahead of Thanksgiving Day holiday. MCX Copper futures are currently trading at Rs 805.60 per kg, down 0.27% on the day.
