Copper drags to five week low ahead of yearend
Copper fell today, witnessing the customary correction on the last trading day of the year. Extended losses in US equities continue to weigh down Copper futures that came off one-week high and surrendered much of its recent gains. The major US averages added to the steep losses posted last Friday with some traders taking profits going into the end of the year. Equities saw muted moves today also and pulled Copper lower. COMEX Copper is currently quoting at $4.05 per pound, down 0.93% on the day and testing five week low.
