Energy Preview: US crude inventories down by 1.5 million barrels, shows API data

The American Petroleum Institute (API) estimated that crude oil inventories in the United States fell by 1.455 million barrels for the week ending February 28. This exceeds the expected 0.3 million-barrel draw. Gasoline inventories fell in the week ending February 28, by 1.249 million barrels, adding onto the previous week's 537,000-barrel increase.
