China's surveyed unemployment rate eased to 5.1% in April 2025 from 5.2% a month earlier, marking the lowest since December 2024. The jobless rate among locally registered workers dropped to 5.2%, while non-local workers saw a lower rate of 4.8%, with agricultural registrants at 4.7%. Unemployment in 31 major cities matched the national average at 5.1%. Average weekly working hours rose to 48.3. For January to April, the average unemployment rate stood at 5.2%.
