Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions fall slightly

Precious metals speculators trimmed their net long positions in the Silver futures markets further last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 59407 contracts in the data reported through July 29, 2025. This was a weekly slide of 1213 net contracts and pulled net longs to a two-week low.
