Silver attempts recovery after testing one-month low

COMEX Silver futures are holding onto a modest recovery from one-month low as precious metals are eying some softness in the US dollar index. The white metal is currently trading at $37.41 per ounce, up 0.38% on the day. Silver fell around 3.70% in last week but is up around 2% for the month of August so far. MCX Silver futures are trading at Rs 112490 per kg, up 0.23% on the day. Meanwhile, precious metals speculators trimmed their net long positions in the Silver futures markets further last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 59407 contracts in the data reported through July 29, 2025. This was a weekly slide of 1213 net contracts and pulled net longs to a two-week low.
