UK consumer confidence rose to -17 in August 2025, the best level in a year, boosted by the Bank of England's rate cut. Households turned more upbeat on personal finances, with outlook for the year ahead moving into positive territory at +5. However, concerns over inflation, job losses, and possible tax hikes kept overall sentiment fragile.
