Base Metals Preview: Copper supported on firm US equities

Copper futures stabilized today amid positive cues from the US equities. US stocks gained as Wall Street awaited an all-important jobs report. The S&P 500 index rose 0.8% to eke out a fresh record of 6,502.08, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite added nearly 1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also gained nearly 0.8%. Copper cut losses following this and currently quotes up 0.39% at $4.57 per pound.
