Natural Gas plummets to two-week low, EIA reports 80 BCF net injectin in US storage

Natural Gas futures drifted lower today, adding to recent losses and testing two-week low as markets eyed a weak tone in crude oil prices as well as equities. Inventories also rose and general assessment of supplies capped the upside. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported an 80 Bcf net injection of natural gas into storage for the week ended October 3, 2025. EIA also noted separately that that US natural gas production will be higher than previously forecast, leading to more natural gas in storage. This pulled the commodity down and the Natural Gas futures are currently trading at $3.19 per pound, down 2.26% on the day.
