Mixed equities cap Copper

Mixed equities capped Copper today though the metal held above $5 per pound. Overall movement was sideways and the counter currently trades at $5.06 per pound, up marginally on the day. In Asia today, Chinese stocks stayed under modest pressure following mixed overnight cues from the US equities. The Shanghai Composite slipped 0.07%. Hong Kong Hang Seng Index added 0.9% to approach one-month high. European shares rose steadily. German DAX index is up around 1.1%. Dow extended the strong upward move seen on Monday and spiked 1.18% yesterday. However, the NASDAQ slipped 0.25% and the S&P 500 rose 0.21%. MCX Copper futures are trading at Rs 1009.80 per kg, up 0.15% on the day.
