Agri Buzz: Rabi sowing picks up pace

Rabi crop sowing has picked up pace across the country, with total coverage touching 306.31 lakh hectares as on 21 November 2025, according to the latest data released by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare. This marks an increase of 33.53 lakh hectares over the corresponding period last year (272.78 lakh ha). Wheat, the main rabi crop, leads the sowing drive with 128.37 lakh hectares, recording a rise of 21.27 lakh hectares compared to last year.
