Economic Buzz: Japan's consumer confidence jumps to 19-month high

Japan's consumer confidence index climbed to 37.5 in November 2025, up from 35.8 in October. This is the strongest reading since April 2024, reflecting broad-based improvement across households. Overall livelihood sentiment improved to 36.2. The employment outlook strengthened to 41.7, and willingness to buy durable goods picked up to 30.9.
