WTI holds near $58.8 amid geopolitical tensions

WTI crude traded steady near $58.8 on Wednesday as markets balanced rising geopolitical risks against fresh signs of higher US supply. Industry data showed US crude inventories climbing by about 2.5 million barrels last week, with official figures expected later today. Meanwhile, MCX December crude oil futures were up 0.3 percent at ₹5328 per barrel. At the geopolitical front, tensions escalated after another attack on a Russia-affiliated ship, with no clarity on who carried it out. Adding to the uncertainty, US President Donald Trump signaled renewed pressure on Venezuela, hinting at potential Pentagon action against drug cartels.
