Agri Buzz: Jeera acreage slides around 14% on year in Gujarat

A sustained drop has been seen in the sowing of Jeera in the leading producing state of Gujarat. Latest data showed that the acreage under the commodity stood at 3.98 lakh hectares as on 29 December 2025, down from 4.64 lakh hectares in year ago period, leading to a year-on-year slide of around 14%.
