Agri Buzz: Jeera acreage falls around 14.50% on year in Gujarat

A sustained decline has been seen in the sowing of Jeera in the leading producing state of Gujarat. Latest data showed that the acreage under the commodity stood at 4.07 lakh hectares as on 27 January 2026, down from 4.76 lakh hectares in year ago period, leading to a year-on-year slide of around 14.50%.
