MCX Evening Update: Silver melts around 14%, breaks under Rs 350000 per kg

MCX Gold futures for April 2026 tumbled after a weak opening today and tested lows around Rs 167400 per 10 grams. The counter currently trades at Rs 172200 per 10 grams, down 6.40% on the day as some recovery has emerged in last few hours of trade. Silver has melted on weak global cues and currently trades down 13.70% at Rs 345000 per kg. Spot prices hit around Rs 400000 per kg in retail markets this week and led to extreme concerns about demand.
