Market Speaks: OPEC paints calm global growth picture for 2026'27

OPEC said in its latest monthly report that global economic growth forecasts remain unchanged from last month. The world economy is expected to expand by 3.1% in 2026 and 3.2% in 2027. The US growth outlook was revised slightly higher to 2.2% for 2026, while the 2027 forecast remains at 2%. Growth projections for the Eurozone and Japan stay modest at 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively, for both years. China's economy is seen growing by 4.5% in 2026 and 2027, while India is expected to lead major economies with growth of 6.6% in 2026 and 6.5% in 2027. Brazil and Russia are projected to grow at a moderate pace over the forecast period.
