MCX Afternoon Update: Precious metals in green, Silver sees smashing gains

Precious metals witnessed a good upmove today on MCX. The benchmark Gold futures are trading up 0.36% at Rs 160271 per 10 grams after approaching Rs 160800 per 10 grams. MCX Silver futures are trading at Rs 275085 per kg, up 2.62% on the day. Lows around Rs 273800 have capped downside for the counter today. COMEX Gold is up marginally at $5196 per ounce while Silver has soared 3% to hit $90 per ounce.
