Economic Buzz: Japan producer price index dips for first time since Aug-25

Producer prices in Japan eased 0.1% on month in February, the Bank of Japan said on Wednesday. This was down from 0.2% in January. This was the first monthly slide for the index since August last year. On a yearly basis, producer prices were up 2%. The Export Price Index (contract currency basis) rose 1.5% from the previous month while the Import Price Index (contract currency basis) rose 0.9% from the previous month.
