Economic Buzz: US existing home sales up by 0.2% in April

Existing home sales in the United States rose by 0.2% in April compared to the previous month and stood at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.02 million, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) shared in a report on Monday. Annually, sales stagnated.

The median existing home sales price across all housing types was up 0.9% year-over-year, at $417,800. Total housing inventory at the end of April stood at 1.47 million units, rising by 5.8% month-on-month and 1.4% year-on-year.
