Precious Metals Preview: COMEX gold and silver gain momentum in early Asia

COMEX gold futures are gaining momentum in early Asia on Tuesday as dollar stays pressured from recent highs. The dollar index that measures the greenback against a basket of currencies is quoting lower by 0.20% at 99. US President Donald Trump reportedly said on Monday that negotiations with Iran over an interim deal to extend their ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz were 'proceeding nicely.' Meanwhile, US April Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index report will be watched for on Thursday. The yellow metal is up 0.42% at $4542.50 an ounce. Meanwhile, silver futures added over 1% this morning to trade at $77.19 per ounce.
