Commodities Buzz: Copper net speculative longs slip to three-week low

Base metal speculators cut longs further in the Copper futures market, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Copper futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds and retailers totaled a net long position of 73040 contracts in the data reported through May 26, 2026, dropping by 2846 contracts and testing three-week low.
