Economic Buzz: Eurozone producer prices up 0.6% in April
In the Eurozone, on a monthly basis, while energy prices decreased 0.4%, intermediate goods prices edged up 1.8%. In the entire bloc, the prices of energy added 0.3%, and intermediate goods prices saw a 1.8% rise. Durable consumer goods and capital goods prices registered a 0.3% growth in the euro area and in the EU. Non-durable consumer goods prices remained stable in both areas.
The biggest monthly growth in producer prices was marked in Denmark with 3%, Croatia with 2.7%, and Belgium with 2.4%, while decreases were observed in France with a 2.1% slump, Estonia worsening by 0.8%, and Sweden contracting by 0.3%.
