Copper gains around 1% amid upbeat equities

COMEX Copper futures zoomed higher to hit highest in one and half week as firm equities boosted the metal. Global shares soared on US-Iran peace deal. China's main CSI300 index rose 1.61%. Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng index added 0.50%. The Nikkei 225 Index jumped around 5% to hit fresh record highs. European stocks saw healthy gains with major indices rallying more than 1%. The US equities stayed supported on Friday as DOW added 0.70%. The Consumer Sentiment Index in the United States also improved. COMEX Copper is up 1% at $6.51 per pound, staying supported after a 2.55% spurt in last week. MCX Copper is also up 0.60% at Rs 1343.30 per kg.
