Gold down 12% in June, Silver slumps around 22%

COMEX Gold witnessed a sustained drop in this and has lost around 12% amid a firm undertone in the US dollar index. Silver has lost around 22%. A break under $5000 per ounce in March altered the sentiments entirely for Gold and the metal saw heavy losses thereafter, giving up after every moderate uptick. The counter has now marked around 28% decline from its record high.
