Economic Buzz: Japan foreign reserves fall to USD 1.287 trillion

Japan's foreign reserves fell by USD 18.40 billion to USD 1.287 trillion at the end of June 2026, extending the previous month's decline. The drop was mainly driven by lower foreign currency reserves, while gold holdings stood at USD 109.51 billion, according to Japan's Ministry of Finance.
