Economic Buzz: US existing home sales down 2.4% in June

Existing home sales in the United States decreased by 2.4% in June compared to the previous month and stood at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.09 million, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) shared in a report on Thursday. On an annual basis, sales advanced by 2.8%.

The median sales price for existing homes across all types increased by 1.8% year-over-year to $440,600. At the end of June, total housing inventory was 1.56 million units, a 0.6% decrease from the previous month and a 1.3% decline compared to June 2025.
