The Federal Reserve shared in its latest Beige Book on Wednesday that the economic activity in the United States increased at a slight to moderate pace in eleven of twelve Federal Reserve Districts in late May and June. It was detailed that the growth rate was similar to June's report, which showed ten districts up, one flat and one down.

Regarding employment, it rose on balance. Five districts saw modest, moderate, or solid gains in employment, while seven experienced little to no change. Meanwhile, prices rose moderately across districts, as nine stated that the price growth was moderate, two mentioned a robust growth and one saw slight growth. Expectations for price growth over the coming months varied across Districts, with contacts in some expecting inflation to continue at its current pace, while contacts in others expected inflation to slow, in part due to falling fuel prices, the Fed explained.
