MCX Evening Update: Gold up, Silver sees impressive gains

MCX Gold futures are trading with good gains today though overall price action is tight. The benchmark Aug-26 contract is up by 0.59% at Rs 143946 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 143575-143946 per 10 grams.

Silver is sharply higher by 0.71% at Rs 223726 per kg. The metal had soared more than 1.20% in last session.

In global equities, US markets are likely to open on an upbeat note. DOW futures have soared 1.10%. In Europe also, stocks soared impressively with German DAX spiking around 1.70%.
