Crude Oil edging higher, Natural Gas down 2.62%

MCX Crude Oil futures are trading on a positive note today in evening trades. The benchmark MCX Aug-26 contract is marginally higher by 0.11% at Rs 7878 per barrel. US equities are edging lower with NASDAQ Composite is edging higher by 0.19% on the day. MCX Crude Oil futures hit a high of Rs 7960 per barrel today and have recorded a steep drop of 4.31% in open interest. MCX Crude oil is moving higher for third consecutive session. The counter eased by 0.48% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Natural Gas is significantly lower by 2.62% at Rs 257 per MMBtu. The counter moved in a range of Rs 253-262 per MMBtu today. The open interest in the counter increased sharply by 18.39%. Crude Oil has climbed 5.95% in the last one week while Natural Gas is up around 3.17%.
