MCX Zinc up 1.13%, Copper holds on to gains

MCX Copper futures are are firm by 1% at Rs 1385 per kg right now. The counter was marginally lower by 0.18% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures advanced to an intraday high of Rs 1390 per kg today and have witnessed a significant 5.48% decrease in the open interest. US equities are edging higher with Dow Jones Industrial Average is modestly higher by 0.85% on the day.MCX Copper is higher for third consecutive session. In other metals, Zinc is higher by 1.13% at Rs 406 per kg, Aluminium is up 0.84% at Rs 350 per kg, Nickel is trading slightly higher by 0.66% at Rs 1635 per kg while Lead is modestly lower by 0.10% at Rs 198 per kg. MCX Zinc is up around 1.70% in the last one week followed by Copper, which is down around 0.30%.
