Gold in the red, Silver down 0.21%

MCX Gold futures are trading in negative territory today. The benchmark Sep-26 contract is marginally lower by 0.43% at Rs 161048 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 160828-162159 per 10 grams.The counter has soared by 5.65% over last one-week.


Silver is slightly lower by 0.21% at Rs 244653 per kg. The open interest in the counter tumbled by 8.42% to 15630 lots.


In global equities, US markets are set for a negative start. DOW futures slipped 0.02%. In Europe, CAC 40 moved up 0.64% and DAX Performance Index ticked up 0.35%.
