Copper up 0.65%, MCX Zinc is little changed

MCX Copper futures are are showing modest gains, up 0.65% at Rs 1388 per kg right now. The counter was up 0.30% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures scaled an intraday high of Rs 1388 per kg today and have recorded a slight rise of 1.85% in the open interest. US equities are weak with NASDAQ Composite is edging lower by 0.29% on the day.MCX Copper rises up for two consecutive session.


In other metals, Aluminium is slightly higher by 0.66% at Rs 351 per kg, Zinc is slightly higher by 0.32% at Rs 420 per kg, Lead is trading slightly higher by 0.03% at Rs 196 per kg while Nickel is down 0.19% at Rs 1610 per kg.


MCX Zinc has added around 1% in the last one week followed by Copper, losing around 0.92%.
