Gold holding steady, Silver down 0.04%

MCX Gold futures are trading with modest gains today. The benchmark Oct-26 contract is slightly higher by 0.03% at Rs 153000 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 152575-154275 per 10 grams.The counter has slipped slightly by 1.07% over last one-week.The open interest in the counter gained 2.13% to 32089 lots.


Silver is marginally lower by 0.04% at Rs 240774 per kg. The open interest in the counter edged up by 0.93% to 31858 lots.


In global equities, US markets are likely to open on a negative note. DOW futures have posted modest losses of 0.65%. In Europe, DAX Performance Index moved up 0.04% and FTSE 100 edged up 0.04%.
