Copper up 1.85%, MCX Zinc remains firm

MCX Copper futures are are firm by 1.85% at Rs 1412 per kg right now. The counter was slightly higher by 0.40% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures hit an intraday high of Rs 1415 per kg today and have recorded a strong rise of 7.02% in the open interest. US equities are weak with NASDAQ Composite is inching down 0.13% on the day.MCX Copper is moving higher for third consecutive session.


In other metals, Aluminium is trading higher by 1.04% at Rs 354 per kg, Zinc is marginally higher by 0.81% at Rs 423 per kg, Lead is slightly higher by 0.51% at Rs 198 per kg while Nickel is trading slightly higher by 0.41% at Rs 1614 per kg.


MCX Zinc has gained around 0.59% in the last one week followed by Copper, down around 0.22%.
