Crude oil prices are holding at a greater than three-month high, with Brent nearing the $100 level, fueled by intensifying US-Iran tensions. Recent developments in the Middle East crisis include reports of US attacks on Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman and near Kharg Island. Iran retaliated by launching over 30 missiles at US forces deployed at the Al Azraq base in Jordan. WTI crude futures are currently quoted at $94.22 per barrel, demonstrating a rise of more than 1% during the session. Simultaneously, MCX crude oil futures are trading around ?8,734 per barrel for the September 2026 expiry, underpinned by global benchmarks attaining three-month highs.
