Crude Oil sharply higher, Natural Gas down 0.29%

MCX Crude Oil futures are under strong buying support today in evening trades. The benchmark MCX Sep-26 contract is substantially higher by 4.74% at Rs 9148 per barrel. US equities are modestly lower with S&P 500 is moving lower by 0.58% on the day. MCX Crude Oil futures hit a high of Rs 9154 per barrel today and have seen a sharp increase of 33.63% in open interest. MCX Crude oil is moving higher for third consecutive session. The counter moved higher by 0.75% in the day session till 6.00 PM.


MCX Natural Gas is slightly lower by 0.29% at Rs 274 per MMBtu. The counter moved in a range of Rs 271-277 per MMBtu today. The open interest in the counter surged 2.82%.


Crude Oil has added around 2.31% in the last one week while Natural Gas is down around 1.05%.
