Copper up 0.66%, MCX Zinc is little changed

MCX Copper futures are are trading on a positive note, up 0.66% at Rs 1375 per kg right now. The counter was slightly higher by 0.07% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures touched an intraday high of Rs 1376 per kg today and have witnessed a significant 3.94% decrease in the open interest. US equities are edging higher with NASDAQ Composite is edging higher by 0.80% on the day.MCX Copper is extending gains for third consecutive session.


In other metals, Zinc is modestly higher by 0.56% at Rs 420 per kg, Aluminium is marginally higher by 0.53% at Rs 352 per kg, Lead is slightly higher by 0.15% at Rs 196 per kg while Nickel is plunging 2.63% at Rs 1536 per kg.


Copper is down around 3.33% in the last one week followed by MCX Zinc, which has eased by 1.65%.
