Copper up 0.69%, MCX Zinc stays well supported

MCX Copper futures are are showing modest gains, up 0.69% at Rs 1413 per kg right now. The counter was down 0.44% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures touched an intraday high of Rs 1420 per kg today and have witnessed a significant 9.69% decrease in the open interest. US equities are edging higher with NASDAQ Composite is soaring 1.72% on the day.MCX Copper is extending gains for fifth consecutive session.


In other metals, Zinc is marginally higher by 0.46% at Rs 435 per kg, Aluminium is modestly lower by 0.81% at Rs 350 per kg, Nickel is marginally lower by 0.28% at Rs 1595 per kg while Lead is down 0.25% at Rs 197 per kg.


MCX Zinc has added around 3.41% in the last one week followed by Copper, up around 1.79%.
